2017-05-22 / Sports HCRS to host 10th annual golf tournament fundraiser to support children, youth in Windsor, Windham counties SPRINGFIELD — Health Care and Rehabilitation Services, Vermont’s second-largest community mental-health agency, will be hosting its 10th annual Golf Tournament to support children, youth in Windsor, Windham counties on Friday, June 9 at Woodstock Country Club. This year’s event will raise funding to support Children’s Services. Every year, HCRS serves over 1,600 children and youth who are experiencing behavioral or mental health issues. During the summer months, HCRS also offers an array of therapeutic day programs from one to three weeks long to provide supports to children and youth. The mixed scramble tournament has a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. In addition to playing 18 holes of golf on one of the top 100 golf courses, players will receive a barbecue lunch and delicious dinner along with logo’d apparel and golf balls. Many activities will be offered throughout the day including the opportunity to tee off from one hole using an air cannon. Players will compete for top placings as well as longest drive and closest to the line awards. In addition, a silent auction with many exciting items such as greens fees at The Quechee Club, a Simon Pearce Glass Bowl, and an overnight stay at The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms, will be held during the event. The entry fee is just $140 per person for registrations received by May 26. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to support children and youth in Windsor and Windham counties.
