VT Route 11 temporary bridge installation
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) in conjunction with Cold River Bridges will be installing a temporary bridge on VT Route 11 at Bridge #57 just east of Breezy Hill Road and/or 1.3 miles west of the VT 106 & River Street intersection.
This bridge will be installed with a northern shift in the roadway thus taking traffic off the sinking eastbound travel lane. The installation of the temporary bridge will begin the week of July 31st and should be completed by September 1, 2017.
During the construction motorists should be aware of delays as there will be alternating one lane of travel with traffic control present within the construction zone.
VTrans is actively designing a larger culvert replacement but at present does not have a construction date scheduled due to current budget restrictions. It is anticipated the existing sidewalk will stay open after the temporary bridge is installed.
Anyone with questions or concerns regarding the project may contact Stephanie Barrett, Public Outreach Coordinator at 802-862-6085.
If you would like to receive a weekly update of the contractors anticipated work schedule please email sbarrett@coibsinc.com your request.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
