A few things have changed with the new date: Gates will open at 6pm. The committee has tried to listen to public feedback to reduce the cost but still cover expenses, and with that in mind, there will be a flat fee of $15. per carload, so call some friends and pack 'em in! Atlas has put on fantastic shows at CPCC in the past, and this will be no different! We'll still have a DJ, free face painting for the kids, and several local food vendors on site. ALL parking will now be on site, no shuttle bus. As always, we want to thank and support our biggest sponsor, Springfield Buick and GMC, and all of our other sponsors who help make this event possible.

ReplyDeleteAnyone still dive at night for golf balls in the pond? Got caught skinny dipping one night up there while in high school. Once the cops realized we were not breaking into the clubhouse we got a pass. Could be glorious with all those fireworks going off. Give it a try but keep your clothes on.
ReplyDeleteThere's a short woodland walking trail at the dead end of Carley Road. It leads right to the golf course. I always wanted to sneak up there some warm moonlit night for a nude dip in the pond just to be daring but fireworks night doesn't seem like the best time to get away with it unnoticed.
