The business will receive $20,000 from one of Springfield’s revolving loan funds to conduct a feasibility study that will help the co-op determine the possibility, cost, and location of a potential move to the downtown area of Springfield.
“We’re hoping to explore expansion into the downtown area,” said Neomi Lauritsen in a phone interview Monday morning.
The money to assess feasibility would fund a consultant from National Co-op Grocers to analyze which building downtown would be feasible, determine the cost of moving, and design the expanded store.
