Dances of universal peace return to Springfield October 19, 2017 dance Dance of universal peace. Photo provided. SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The dances of universal peace are simple joyous, meditative, multicultural, circle dances that use sacred phases, chants, music, and movements to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and recognize it in others. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required, and everyone is welcomed to join in. Participation, not presentation, is the focus. No special attire is required and dancers need not bring a partner. The dances focus on peace – creating a sense of solidarity and community, while celebrating and understanding the unity of all spiritual traditions on the earth. Walia Sandra Guillow is a seasoned and enthusiastic dance leader who is accompanied by her musician husband Shems WIlliam Guillow. Come and be a part of the circle that connects all of humanity. The dances will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7-9 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 21 Fairground Rd, Springfield. Open to the public. Donations accepted.
