Redeeming qualities: Springfield couple build a business on bottles and cans

On a recent Monday afternoon inside the Springfield Redemption Center on Chester Road, the clinking sound of aluminum and glass fills the small room as workers sort and bag thousands of redeemable cans and bottles.

  1. Look at the license plates of the vehicles that come with huge bags of cans and bottles to the Springfield redemption. You will see NH quite a lot. Went to Maine and took bottles purchased here. Went to their redemption center thinking I would get 10 cents...not they say my plate a gave me 5.

  2. Anonymous 11/20/17, 10:39 AM you are dumb driving to Maine to redeemable cans/ bottles. All the wasted gas; but if already traveling there then would allow the absurdity of it all.
