Some positive flooding news


The North Springfield skating rink, next to the old North School, has been flooded the last two days and is ready for skating.

The Springfield Parks & Recreation Department is in charge of setting up and maintaining the rink each winter. There is also a sledding hill close to the rink.

The size of this ice rink is 50 by 100 feet. It has been a popular winter recreation site for generations.  It is now the only public skating rink in town.
