Springfield Community Chorus concerts begin April 27


Enjoy some of your favorite toe-tapping pop tunes from the 20th century sung by the Springfield Community Chorus during their spring concerts. The chorus will perform the first concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Unity Elementary School, 864 2nd Turnpike in Unity, the second concert is at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Grafton Community Church at 55 Main St., in Grafton, Vermont, and the third concert, is at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the First Congregational Church at 77 Main St., in Springfield, Vermont. The program of 20th century pop tunes will have you humming right along to many favorite tunes. The up-beat, lively tunes include arrrangements of "You are the Sunshine of My Life," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" for the women's voices, three Beatles' hit tunes ("Hear Comes the Sun", "In My Life" and "Can't Buy Me Love"), "I Got Rhythm", "Mack the Knife," "Alexander's Ragtime Band," and many more.
