A thank you to voters from Randy Gray

I would like to express my appreciation to all of you who voted for me in this year’s Primary Election, granting me the top spot on the Republican ballot. A special thank you goes out to those of you who wrote me in on the Democrat ballot, a true show of bipartisan support!

I hope, moving on to November, we can all focus on the candidate’s platforms and ambitions rather than a party label.

I have heard many comments this year about some candidates being focused on a “one subject” platform – the Gun Bills signed in April. I assure you I am not one of those. My platform was written long before March and April and my intentions to run started last summer. Constitutional compliance should be a part of every candidate’s platform.

I enjoy standing at the polls, greeting voters, and conversing with the other candidates. We all get along well despite our differences in opinion, and we have meaningful conversation. We all seem to have the same end goal of bettering Vermont. I’ve found our differences are merely how to get there. Thank you, Rebecca White, for providing us cover from the sun and elements on the hot, fresh pavement in Hartford!

Meeting as many of you as possible is something I look forward to this late summer and fall. If you see me, please approach me. I’d be more than happy to hear your views, opinions, and suggestions.

Again, thank you,

Randy Gray
Windsor District Senate candidate
N. Springfield, Vt.

  6. Randy is an Altright fan... he is not for me. And anyone who thinks Trump is great, needs their head examined. Obama left this economy strong and unfortunately, Trump will run us into the gutter... with the rich reeking the benefits.

    1. On what basis do you make your unsubstantiated claim? We just finished the best quarterly GDP in four years. National unemployment rate is at 3.9%, the lowest in 18 years. Minority unemployment is the lowest ever! Black business ownership jumped 400% in the past year. N. Korea is at the peace table for the first time ever! My retirement savings leap frogged 35% in the past 18 months!!! There is a renewed sense of patriotism. Other countries line up to cheer our visits. Seen how world leaders make eye contact and firmly shake hands with Trump? Now can you see why readers here perceive you as full of crap? Now in protest give consideration to self emollition at 10:00 AM Saturday morning on the square. I'll furnish the gas.

    2. You are a fool. My investments are up too, but they grew the most under Obama, PERIOD, you fool (did I say that already?). And if Patriotism is up, it's only up from Trumpers, not the majority of the USA (that did not vote for Trump) and even lower on the World front. He is a criminal.

    3. Patriotism, not, it's Trumpism.

"Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels." Samuel Johnson, ca. 1802. We should remember that Ethan Allen at one time, in order to ensure he retained his holdings in Vermont, approached Canada to discuss joining Vermont to it. He was at heart a convenient patriot.

    6. It's the truth, your 401K has made more under Obama than Trump and I am afraid that Trump is behind a big bubble. You are a fool for denying it.

    7. No one person or president has a "big dial" that can control the stock market. It is the whole of america and (world) that determines the direction of bull or bear. For instance unplugging the coal burning smoke stacks has a minor effect if any on the market.

  7. As a Trump supporter, is Randy morally bankrupt? Does he really believe we should be investigating Hillary and still chanting "lock her up"? What a bunch of BS, I am not buying it.

    4. Roger, (without calling me a troll please) the facts are your 401K plan earned more money under Obama than Trump and I am very fearful we are going to see the bobble pop soon. Then will you admit that things we not so bad under Obama?

I have a very happy life, family, job, hobbies etc, I have been blessed by this Great Free Country we live in. So for you to say stuff you have no clue shows the entire page that you are trying to stir up SH-t... or be a Troll. Enough said except MAGA!

    1. Roger, face it. Trump is not qualified to be a president. He has not made america great again, it always was. If your 401K is doing well it is not because of him. It is because of the american people. Promoting pollution is not making america great again. His WH staff and advisers are mostly crooks (drain the swamp and fill it with sewage). Even Jeff S is sick of him.

    2. Roger, Trump is a crook and a racist. I made more money in my 401K under Obama. Your statements are not factual, they are fake. The recent tax cuts did not change my life style, I am so sick of trickle down economics... you are a fool for supporting it.

  13. Does this resemble our Fake President?

"To begin, however, here are DSM’s requirements (slightly condensed, and with minor bracketed amendments) for “earning” the unenviable diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

Has a grandiose sense of self-importance.
Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
Believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
Requires excessive admiration [regularly fishes for compliments, and is highly susceptible to flattery].
    Has a sense of entitlement.
    Is interpersonally exploitative.
Lacks empathy: is unwilling [or, I would add, unable] to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.
Shows arrogant, haughty [rude and abusive] behaviors or attitudes"

  15. FOX news tonight with all those foxy ladies, haven't mentioned OUR hero McCain. But it is good they stopped politically using the terrible death of the young lady cause by an illegal man. That is all they talked about while those two Trump bozos were taken down.

  16. Interesting fact, Trump has spent 25% of his presidency (if that's what you call it ) playing golf at his own courses. Teeing off everyone, puttering around, driving America down a hole in one. Par for the donald.

  17. What a lame president we have, Obama and Bush wrote a fine condolences using their own words. Trump on the other hand got his off his frikn smartphone from some 8th grade site.

  18. I read several condolence messages to the McCain family from prominent politicians.....all paying tribute to the Navy pilot war hero, POW, warrior politician, 6-time giant of the Senate, and two-time presidential candidate. Trump rejected senior WH aides' plans for a statement praising Sen. McCain's life. Instead he wanted to post a brief tweet, so the WH statement wasn't released. His was a very generic message. He is obviously jealous and resentful of McCain and the legacy he has left.....because he'll never garner the admiration and respect bestowed on McCain. He is such a petty, little man.

  19. McCain was a Great American, and he gave so much to our Great Country, but in the past few years he became a resister and should have gone to rest relax and enjoy his last few years with his family instead of tarnishing his great life and career with bought's of senility resentment. RIP Mr McCain!

    1. Agreed. I think that, more than anything else, cost him the Presidency. At the time, I heard many conservatives say they would vote for McCain, hoping he'd die quickly so Palin would become President! Steve Schmidt was the one who convinced McCain to go with Palin; Schmidt is now telling Republicans to vote for Democrats in the mid-terms, just to stop Trump! How the worm turns!
