How it all went down


“This was a nice house when I went to school here,” says Al Basso, nodding over his shoulder at the Union Street School behind him. At his side, in a pile of scrap metal, are a pool ladder and a hockey goal, signs of a certain kind of middle-class, American life.

  1. Springfield has enough classic architecture that ISN'T eyesore dope houses. Finish the job, and tear down the "ring" around downtown! The surrounding DECENT homes will appreciate enough to offset the paltry tax revenue the slums generate!
