In a typical home fire, you … Caught passing drugs to an inmate 46 min ago 0 Benjamin Gramling SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Vermont State Police conducted an investigation into the transportation of narcotic drugs (buprenorphine) and synthetic stimulant drugs "bath salts" into Southern State Correctional Center in Springfield, Vermont. Investigation revealed that inmate Benjamin Gramling, 28, received drugs from visitor Jessica Page, 27, of Reading, Vermont during visiting hours. The drugs were passed from visitor to inmate using the pockets of a small child, also visiting. Correctional Officers witnessed the act while in progress, and interceded. Page was charged with dispensing narcotic and stimulant drugs, transportation of drugs into a state prison, possession of narcotic and stimulant drugs. Gramling was charged with transportation and possession of the drugs. Page and Gramling will appear at Windsor County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Oct. 30 at 8 a.m.
