Holiday Concert presented by Springfield Community Chorus


Begin your holiday season in the spirit of song. Join the Springfield Community Chorus as they sing their holiday concerts, Dec. 1 and 2.

This year, under the direction of Kenneth Olsson, the chorus is featuring the works of John Rutter by singing the arrangement of "Gloria" with brass, percussion, and organ accompniment. Other arrangements by the composer in the program include "Rejoice and Be Merry," We Wish You a Merry Christmas," and "I Wish You Christmas."

John Rutter, born in 1945 and living in London, England, has been composing and arranging choral music for 50 plus years. He is founder and conductor of the Cambridge Singers in England and a guest conductor of world fame.

The Saturday, Dec. 1 concert will be at the First Baptist Church, 162 Main Street in Chester, Vermont at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, Dec. 2 concert will begin at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church UCC, 77 Main Street, Springfield , Vermont.
