Vermont prosecutors won’t seek second trial in Springfield slaying

A 33-year-old Springfield, Vt., man convicted by a jury earlier this year of shooting and killing Wesley Wing in their Springfield neighborhood won’t be the subject of a second trial.

  1. charge him with being a felon in procession of a firearm,that would add some years on his sentence.pretty clear that he had a firearm

    1. Unless you ran his sentences consecutively, (which never happens) he wouldn't have served a single day longer. Sadly, convicting him of every crime he committed would have just been more expensive.
