At the inaugural Rising Stars Class of 2010 ceremony on November 4 in Burlington, forty people under the age of 40, selected by a panel of judges, were honored. The winners were chosen for their commitment not only to business growth and professional excellence, but also for the fact that they are making a difference for the better and contributing to their communities. Honorees come from a wide range of organizations including professional services, banking, health care, high tech, higher education, and nonprofits.         Laura researched and designed a working model for healthcare delivery, assembling a team that assists in helping patients have 1) better education regarding their illnesses, 2) improved access to resources such as transportation and medications, 3) life skills, and 4) improved satisfaction with visits to doctors. The project is called Vermont Blueprint for Health.         A graduate of Springfield High School, University of Vermont, and Boston College, Laura is Care Management Program manager at Central Vermont Medical Center, Berlin, Vermont.
