In appreciation of Christmas givers

A thank you message to all who supported the Springfield Santa Claus Club in 2010.

As the 60th consecutive year of the Springfield Santa Claus Club draws to an end, we would like to thank each and every one of you who contributed to this effort. We must begin with our financial donors who enable us to shop year round for winter outerwear, family literacy bags, toothpaste, and books. We then wish to thank the hundreds of people who took gift tags from their church, work place, local banks, stores or club. We must not forget the local dentists for their donation of toothbrushes and last but not least, all of the knitters who made the beautiful hats and mittens for the children and lap robes for the elders.

This year with the support of all of you we were able to provide new winter outerwear and gifts to 335 children, (157 families), and 43 elders.

Santa's elves work all year gathering the necessary components of this project. We are always looking for new elves to help make the project manageable. Please call Chris or Marty if you are interested.

Thank you one and all for your support of this Springfield community project. Happy 2011!

CHRIS DUFRESNE and

MARTY HAMMOND
