Occupy Springfield demonstrators return

An encore staging of the Occupy Springfield protest today attracted about a dozen demonstrators, only half the number as the original gathering a week before.

There was still plenty of support shown from those in cars passing by, many of whom either honked, waved or gave a thumbs up.

Glen Williams, who organized the demonstrations promoting economic reform, said there were no plans to hold another in the near future. It was good weather for holding up cardboard signs, sunny and dry, temps getting into the 50s and, most importantly, no wind.

  1. Hey, isn't that C.G., the perpetually disgruntled, idealistic liberal? The one who has spent a lifetime feasting from the public teat? Amusing how someone who has never produced anything of value, funded a payroll, or otherwise contributed to the prosperity of the community can find fault with a system governed by the very people they elected to office.
