Published May 23, 2012 in the Rutland Herald Springfield wins at RCC BOYS GOLF Springfield wins Otter Valley’s Brett Bergeron carded an 83 to capture medalist honors, but Springfield took top team honors in a five-school match at Rutland Country Club with a score of 387. The Cosmos were led by Alex Rumrill’s 90. His supporting cast was comprised of Derek Grailick with a 98, Tom Kendall with a 99 and Tim Hildreth with a 100. Fair Haven was the runner-up at 403, with Jesse Dodge shooting 87, Kevin Hurd 93, Caleb Larson 104 and Cody Bonvoulier 119. Otter Valley was next with a 419. Supporting Bergeron were Doug D’Avignon with a 94, Garrett Robin with his 112 and Grant Robin at 130. Mill River’s 423 came from Johann Russell’s solid 84, a 96 by Tyler Reynolds, Arthur Conover’s 117 and Noah Beauchain’s 126. Andrew Becker navigated the par-70 layout with a 91 to lead Woodstock, which came in at 478. The other Wasps scoring were Carter Pratt at 113, Jake Kelly at 117 and Aiden Mumford at 157.
