Well, this is just lovely, isn't it? Poor guy. I hope they get the low-life scum who did this to him. Oh who am I kidding...There would be no punishment anyway. Maybe a slap on the wrist.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this just what you would expect in Springfield.
ReplyDeleteSeems odd was he out fishing or something?
ReplyDeleteNo, he was out to lunch -- just like you!
DeleteProbably was looking for love in all the wrong places........
DeleteTime for Springfield to reallocate resources. Less for the schools and other departments. More for the police department. The sheriff needs to help out, too. Time to just wipe the streets clean of these thugs.
ReplyDeleteNot sure that reallocating resources from the schools is the answer. But reallocating time away from radar guns would probably help. I see Dennis Allen is in the news again, this time they called in the State Troopers.
DeleteSome people use that area as a walking path. It is nice and flat and doesn't have all the air pollution (from car fumes on Clinton St.) that the Toonerville Trail has. But apparently it isn't all that safe for the geriatric crew. Just another place to be aware of. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the plan to extend the Toonerville Trail in that direction? May have to get some Trail Rangers deputized to help.

Deletetoo bad the cops didn't jump on the tip about this when it was called in since they were 'too busy downtown'..wallet was found, girl was witnessed throwing object away, the make of car was disclosed and location it was heading, cops show up hours later.... how hard is it to search for a grey Saturn with VT plates via a data base to find the scum bags? more than likely too busy hanging out down on the septic pond drag strip running radar getting the working class citizens while future of springfield keeps up getting away with this crap.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the delay time? Between the call and the response? Was the dispatcher the Selectboard Chair's brother?
Deleteapprx 2 hours
ReplyDeleteAre they still running the radar ambushes between the prison and downtown, I have heard conflicting reports as to whether they still are ambushing speeders after all the complaints about their lack of visibility were lodged?
DeleteI bet they would have responded quicker out that-a-way if someone had made a call from from the Lucky Lindy Fiasco a few weeks earlier if someone had called and reported their seat had been taken by the massive crowd.
ReplyDeleteI heard the man that got mugged was Doug Seymour. He was the principle at Riverside when I was in grade school. Doug is a great man and I've always wanted to tell him so. This is so sad to hear that a great person like him got friggin mugged by two no good probably drug addict scummy welfare rats.
ReplyDeleteThey are still hiding out across from the Springfield stink plant, end of Paddock Road, and the best was half on the grass, and half on the side walk in front of the old Bryants before the fence. Hmmm, thought it was illegal to park on side walks? 2nd best spot is on Precision Drive at 545am in the morning running radar to the working force!
ReplyDeleteYou know this is the stuff that shows that the Police Chief just doesn't get it. It is so annoying. How many people have to complain about the police wasting time doing radar ambushes instead of patrolling the streets, until the Selectboard Chairman acts. I don't care if his brother is a dispatcher, this idiocy needs to stop.
DeleteHey. I finally saw a foot patrol officer in the square in springfield this evening. That's just exactly what that area needs. Thank you Doug Johnston.
