Slaters get moral victory
GIRLS SOCCER
Fair Haven 0, Springfield 0
FAIR HAVEN — Fair Haven held 6-1-1 Springfield to a scoreless standoff.
“It was a very physical game. Neither team gave an inch,” Fair Haven coach Peter Roach said.
Abi Cox and Sarah Locke were outstanding for the Cosmos.
Fair Haven got outstanding play from Shelbylynn Hall.
“She did a great job in marking some of their better players,” Roach said.
Bethany Lanfear also stood out up from for his 0-8-2 Slaters.
Roach also praised keeper Hunter Pedro and her entire defense.
“They all did a great job back there,” Roach said.
Pedro had 14 saves and Cosmo keeper Lauren Bolduc had seven saves.
"morale victory", not moral - hopefully the Rutland Herald fixed it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure what a moral victory during a soccer game would look like.

DeleteHow about abunch of soccer players apologizing for kicking each other in the shins.
