This is a video dedicated to Bill and Lou, by Edward Huse for VINE. The young woman is misquoted where the subtitle says (in minute 4:09) that "our mascots are famous", what she is actually saying is that "our mascots are eagles", this will be corrected in the next edit. Quoting the copy - "Bill and Lou were the working oxen for Green Mountain College for 10 years. Students, faculty, and community members alike came to love them over the years. They were marched in the school's parade, and widely seen as the school mascot. Then, Lou got hurt and the school decided to kill them both, turn them into hamburger meat, and to serve them in the school cafeteria. VINE Sanctuary in Springfield VT offered to provide a happy retirement home for both Bill and Lou, but were turned down by the school. Since then, the outrage over the prospect has grown into an international movement. On October 26th, 2012, a group of protesters channeled their pain and anger into action. This is a video of some of the events that day, with some nice footage of Bill and Lou taking it easy." Please join the SAVE BILL AND LOU group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/294505657325240/
Typical liberals... they love animals yet hate people.
ReplyDeleteI'm a liberal that loves animals, but I also enjoy shooting and eating them during hunting season, so go figure.
DeleteI also can't wait for these oxen to be killed so this blog will stop posting these one-sided stories. I bet the smart meters have fried the admin's brain or something.
Then you must have missed this other-side post:
