With more than three decades of professional legal experience, a couple who has lived in Vermont since 2004 has opened a law practice, Rundle & Rundle, PLLC, in Springfield, VT.
Christopher and Amanda Rundle concentrate their practice on civil litigation and criminal defense. Both attorneys practiced law in Florida for many years.
Amanda Rundle was born and raised in Miami, FL. After attending the University of Miami School of Law, she worked as an associate at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, where she primarily practiced insurance defense litigation. She then worked with the offices of Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A., where her practice concentrated on matters of complex federal litigation.
In Vermont, she spent six years with Dakin & Benelli P.C. in Chester, where she remained until joining with her husband in their new partnership.
Christopher Rundle was born in Great Britain and attended Cambridge University before moving to the U.S. He spent more than 12 years as a state prosecutor and worked for then-Florida State Attorney Janet Reno as a major crimes prosecutor in Dade County, FL. From 1993, he maintained his own offices in Miami, acting as trial counsel to both domestic and international clients.
“We like to think of ourselves as developing a relatively intimate practice,” he said. “We’re not looking for a large volume. We want to maintain the quality of work that we think people deserve, and we are doing that.”
Why Vermont? “We’ve always loved the place and always thought it was where we would ultimately retire,” he said. “Thus far, it’s been a very positive experience.”
