The Shopper / Vermont Journal hacked

Why an apparently foreign-based hacker group would even have heard of The Vermont Journal is anybody's guess.

A hacker named "VandaTheGod" from "UGNazi" hacker group, has taken over control of the website of the weekly Vermont Journal published in Ludlow, VT. The website also features articles from another one of their publications, The Shopper, which is the most widely distributed newspaper in Springfield.

VandaTheGod has hacked some government websites recently, including one in Ecuador, "Technical Secretariat for Vocational Training (setec.gob.ec); an Argentine site "Ministry of Education of the Province of Corrientes (mecc.gov.ar)"; and the official site of Escalante City, Philippines (escalantecity.gov.ph). He also hacked a subdomain of "The International Bank for Trade and Finance(mail.ibtf.com.sy).

(Hey, don't even think about messing with springfieldvt.blogspot.com, whoever the scum you are.)

The Vermont Journal and Shopper must be right up there with BoA and Citi, which were also recently hacked... Might it be (shudder!) a CIA front, like all those picture frame shops????? An urban legend in the making!
