Grab your skates, the ice is nice

Glide through winter at the North School Recreation Park in North Springfield.

The large public skating rink is ready a good two weeks early this year, the only known benefit of the ongoing early December cold snap.

There is also a hill for sledding and the park is always open, with plenty of parking space.
