Voluntourism opportunity in Vermont
Press Release
POSTED: 07/31/2014 04:18:39 PM EDT0 COMMENTS
Since 2000, the Black River Action Team (BRAT) has hosted a cleanup of the local waterways, inspiring scores of folks to venture to the bed and banks of the Black River to collect trash. Want to help, but live far away? Consider a trip to scenic southeastern Vermont during the annual BRAT RiverSweep, and receive a reduced rate through several "voluntourism" packages with select local lodging establishments.
BRAT will provide a free commemorative tee shirt for all "voluntourists," complimentary lunch courtesy of local businesses, plus a selection of free "thank you" goodies. The hotel or inn provides the great rate! Contact the Golden Stage Inn in Proctorsville VT or the Holiday Inn Express in Springfield VT for more details about their special RiverSweep voluntourism packages, and book your room today! Golden Stage Inn: (802) 226-7744; HI Express: (802) 885-4516.

I hear they're advertising about this opportunity quite heavily in New Jersey!
ReplyDeleteI wish! That would mean they'd come help with cleaning up the town, rather than adding to the trash....*chuckle*
