Rain has to go somewhere, and sometimes it goes where we don’t want it to. Flowing water picks up many pollutants from roads, driveways, roofs, lawns (fertilizers and pesticides, for instance), and parking lots before hitting storm drains — which are quickly becoming connected directly to our streams and rivers.

Reserve your spot today for the first-ever Stormwater Expo in Windsor County!

Sponsored by the CT River Joint Commissions and organized by the Black River Action Team, this event is for everyone. If rain falls and snow melts on your property, you’re invited to “Slowing the Storm Surge: Stormwater Expo 2014″ on Saturday, September 20th from 9am till noon at HCRS (Health Care & Rehabilitation Services) at 390 River Street in Springfield, Vermont.

Learn tips & techniques for managing stormwater to protect your property value; see various products and mechanisms for controlling the flow; discover many partners and programs available to help you in your unique situation.

Registration is by email to BRAT Director Kelly Stettner (blackrivercleanup@yahoo.com) or by telephone (802) 885-1533. The $10 registration fee, which can be paid at the event, covers all workshop materials as well as refreshments.

Space is limited, so get in touch right away to reserve your spot!
