The Springfield Family Center's community garden is in full bloom.
The Springfield Family Center’s community garden is loving this summer weather, the sunshine and rain we have gotten! We would like to thank the Horticulture Class at the River Valley Tech Center for once again this year donating vegetable plants for our garden.
Volunteers have been diligently working in the garden and produce gleaned will be utilized in our kitchen and food shelf.
Our Summer Lunch program is well underway and going great. It is so wonderful to see all the smiling faces of the great children in our community! Volunteers are still needed to help prepare daily meals from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. If you are able and interested in helping, please contact Tonya at (802) 885-3646 ext. 205.
Donations to the program are greatly appreciated and may be mailed to the Springfield Family Center at 365 Summer Street, Springfield, VT 05156, with Summer Lunch in the memo line.
