Fire injures one at Huber building in Springfield
August 21,2015
SPRINGFIELD -- An overnight fire at the Huber Building in downtown Springfield has injured at least one person and displaced some residents.
Springfield Deputy Fire Chief Scott Richardson said Friday that someone was injured in the fire and that the Vermont State Police were investigating. He said that was standard protocol in a fire when someone was injured.
He said the building's sprinkler system put the fire out, but that the sprinkler system also resulted in water damage to several other apartments.
He said a press release from Chief Russell Thompson would be coming out shortly.
This story will be updated.
