Police investigating burglary after stolen items recovered in Springfield

Vermont State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime within a five-day span last week in Mt. Holly, Vermont.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:


Vermont State Police were dispatched to a report of a burglary that occurred at a residence on Sawyer Hill Road in the town of Mt. Holly, Vermont. Mr. Bishop was calling to advise that he was alerted that his cabin had been broken into and vandalized, among some of the missing items were two newly purchased chain saws.

Investigation led police to the recovery of the chainsaws at a residence in Springfield. The suspicious purchase was reported to police by the buyer and learned that the chainsaws were stolen. State Police are continuing their investigation and will release arrest information when it is available.
