SAPCC receives state Worksite Wellness award

Springfield Area Parent Child Center's wellness team leaders accepted the Governor's Award for Worksite Wellness April 2016 in Burlington.

Pictured here left to right is Stacey Sanderson, SAPCC with Governor Peter Shumlin, Dr Harry L Chen, Commissioner of Health and Lori Johnson, SAPCC.

The conference honored 67 Vermont employers for innovative practices to improve the lives of Vermont Citizens. The theme of this year's conference focused on the idea of employers working toward a "wellness strategy" to capture the careful planning and forethought needed to foster a healthy environment and achieve long-term success.

The banner in the background reminds me of the infamous banner behind George W. Bush which read "Mission Accomplished" -- only it is more obviously ironic.
