SPRINGFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE
On April 6, 2016 at approximately 1427 hours the Springfield Police Department received a call that at 3 Wall Street in Springfield, there was a female outside covered in blood who had possibly been assaulted.
Responding officers learned that the female suffered a stab wound to her abdomen. The female was transported to the Springfield Hospital and then was later transferred to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital for treatment.
The victim had identified her assailant as a Brian Butler. A search was conducted of the area and Brian Butler was taken into custody in front of Village Pizza on Main Street in Springfield at approximately 3:55 P.M.
Brian Butler remains in custody and will be scheduled for arraignment on April 7, 2016 at 1230 P.M. in the Windsor Superior Court, Criminal Division, to answer the charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Domestic Assault, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

SPRINGFIELD — A suspect is in custody following a stabbing in Springfield Wednesday afternoon.
In a Springfield Police Department press release sent out shortly before 3 p.m., police said the accused has been identified as Brian Butler, and that he may be wearing a blue jacket.
Police sent out another release shortly before 4 p.m. saying that Butler was arrested and that the matter is under investigation.

Springfield Police say they have arrested the suspect in a stabbing that took place earlier this afternoon on Wall Street.
Brian Butler was arrested around 4 p.m. in front of Springfield Village Pizza on Main Street, a short distance from the stabbing scene.
Springfield Police Lt. Mark Fountain confirmed the arrest. Butler was placed in a cruiser and taken to the Springfield police station.
Police had launched a manhunt for Butler earlier in the afternoon after naming him as a suspect in a stabbing at 3 Wall St.
The victim, a woman who lives with Butler, is expected to survive, police said.
Time for another statement from the Chief that crime is down in our fair town!

ReplyDeleteI am going to have to check that town report the Police Chief was talking about, or do we no longer classify stabbings as crime because it is a drug related "health issue"? Great work Chief feeling safer everyday because the town reports says i can.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it's the Chief's fault that a nutjob with a history of stabbing decided to commit a crime here. It is great work that they were able to nab the guy within an hour. Sorry you guys didn't pass the academy exams and can't do anything except whine and cry on a blog.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. The Chief isn't responsible for any of the crime that has become a daily occurrence in Springfield while the Chief has been "in-charge". Giving him more money to blow has proven to be a false premise in the solution to clean up Springfield. Getting rid of him was the right answer. Unfortunately the town would rather turn a blind eye to incompetence while slipping into the abyss.

The woman involved refused to move and kept mind games going for months until this happened supposedly. SO as a Christian maybe you should keep your heart open instead of your mouths.
