Springfield Elks present dictionaries to students

Annually, the Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 donates dictionaries to all third graders at Union Street School in Springfield.

  2. English dictionaries are not much use to children that can only speak spanish, russian, chinese, urdu or arabic. 65 million "Mericans" now live in homes that don't speak english.

    2. Third grade students want iPads not dictionaries. Another useless self-serving promotion that pretends to be helping kids for an organization that is really a social club masquerading as a somewhat misguided charitable organization. Party on Elkers!
