Fishing tourney set for Sunday
The Champlain Valley Hardwater Series, in conjunction with the local chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, will hold a fishing tournament Sunday at the Springfield Boat Landing.

Fishing tourney set for Sunday
SPRINGFIELD — The Champlain Valley Hardwater Series, in conjunction with the local chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, will hold a fishing tournament Sunday at the Springfield Boat Landing.
Sign-in begins at 5:30 a.m. and fishing starts at 6 a.m. Weigh-ins will be held at 2 p.m. and competitors' six heaviest pan fish will be weighed.
Every participant will receive a prize.
Meal tickets are also available for $7 and the cost includes coffee, donuts and other breakfast items as well as lunch.
The event helps promote fishing and outdoor activities.
Proceeds from the tournament go to assist veterans in need.
