SPRINGFIELD — State Farm Insurance Agent Jerry Farnum joined representatives from the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce (SRCOC), his employees, and members of the business community for a ribbon-cutting on Friday, Jan. 2 to celebrate the opening of his new State Farm Insurance office at 240 River St. in Springfield. Farnum is a new member of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce. The State Farm office had a “soft launch” on Thursday, Dec. 1, and officially opened on Jan. 1, Farnum said. The office employs three full-time employees and one part-time employee, and serves Vermont and New Hampshire. At the ribbon cutting, from left, were Dan Harrington, branch manager for Mascoma Savings Bank and new vice president of the Chamber; Sue Dana, past president of the Chamber; employees Susan Berube and Sean Jeffers; Farnum, his spouse Laura Farnum; SRCOC Executive Director Caitlin Christiana, and Chamber board member Nicole Picard.
