Police investigate fatal stabbing near school


Police are still on the scene this evening where a fatal stabbing took place near the Union Street elementary school this afternoon during school hours.

    Date of Arrest: March 1, 2017

    Defendant: Arnaldo Cruz, 53, Jersey City, NJ

    SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers responded to the area of 25 Union Street for a report of two (2) subjects who were fighting. It was discovered while investigating this incident that a witness to the incident, Arnaldo Cruz 01/25/64 had two (2) outstanding arrest warrants for him in Vermont

    Cruz was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility-Springfield in lieu of $1000.00 bail
