The Springfield Community Chorus will hold their first rehearsal of the fall season from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Fairground Road in Springfield. All are welcome to join the chorus.

2017-09-01 / Local Singers wanted for Springfield Community Chorus SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Community Chorus will hold their first rehearsal of the fall season from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Fairground Road in Springfield. All are welcome to join the chorus. Registration information and dues are collected between 6:30 and 7 p.m., with refreshments and fun preceding the warm-up. No audition is required but the weekly rehearsals are important in the preparation of an eclectic array of seasonal music for the early December concerts directed by Ken Olsson. Work will begin on "Tis the Gift to be Simple," "Come On Down to Bethlehem," "Mary Did You Know?" "African Noel," "The Hallelujah Chorus," and other selections from "Handel’s Messiah," just to name a few. Meet singers from the region and learn new voice techniques.
