Big Veggies

Springfield vegetable gardener Wilbur Horton seems to have an oversized green thumb. Rutabaga 32 lbs, Marrow 52 lbs, watermelon 72 lbs, field pumpkin 71 lbs, and a supersize 833.5 lb pumpkin.

Photos are from the 2017 Champlain Valley Fair, Essex, VT where Wilbur's impressive produce won honors, including first prize in the rutabaga division! Congratulations Wilbur!

    That one won't roll down Elm hill. It is flat on the bottom!
