SRDC's 25th Annual Meeting was held at Crown Point Country Club in Springfield on October 30, 2017. Matt Dunne explained the various components of the proposed redevelopment project centered around the former Park Street School in Springfield.
Other speakers included SRDC's Executive Director Bob Flint and RVTC Sup't/Director Scott Farr.

ReplyDeleteBesides the school system and police department, SRDC has done more for this community in the last 25 years than any other organization. Several Buildings would still stand derelict and useless without SRDC's continued efforts. Yes, taxes are too high, but groups like SRDC are keeping Springfield above water.

ReplyDeleteExplain what this "one -year no cost option agreement with the SRDC for the former Park Street School" is? Spfld. taxpayers voted to discontinue Park St. as a school, but not vote on this?
"Residential and business accelerator" to include classroom space similar to CCV? with dorms?
The recent marketability of the building indicates it would take 24 million dollars to bring it up to code. According to the new article $315,000 might be committed to date.
"Having this project built upon the remarkable gigabit connectivity" sounds like alot of eggs in one basket.
