SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – You are invited to celebrate Gallery at the VAULT’s Sweet Sixteen birthday on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. We’ll enjoy birthday cake, thank our many volunteers and hear painter, Robert O’Brien speak about his artistic journey of over 40 years as a watercolor artist. O’Brien is inspired by ordinary objects that are transformed in the balance between light and shadow. He says that, “The transparency of the medium helps in bringing shadows alive while allowing the light to glow.” Whether you’re a frequent visitor to the gallery or someone “who’s been meaning to stop in” you’ll be amazed at the range of creations of 160 local and state artists. What choices for gifts or for yourself in jewelry, scarves, ornaments, woodenware, slate, glass, pottery, and fine art in a wide price range. There’s also a brand new Open Wall show called “Magical Light.” Gallery at the VAULT, a Vermont state craft center, is proud to be celebrating 16 years bringing arts experiences to the Springfield community and thrives on local support! Located on 68 Main St., VAULT is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. We hope to see you there!
