A demand for money, not met Springfield Police COURTESY SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Police are investigating an armed robbery on Monday night at Jonathan’s Summer Place. Springfield Police Lt. Mark Fountain said a male knocked on the door of Jonathan’s Summer Place in the Springfield plaza parking lot around 9:30 p.m. A woman who was working at the ice cream stand opened the door. A male holding a weapon demanded money and then ran away. Police said nothing was stolen and nobody was injured in the incident.The robbery was still under investigation. Jonathan’s Summer Place owner Jonathan Guy declined to comment. Jonathan’s Summer Place is open seasonally from May to August with soft serve ice cream, milkshakes and sundaes.
