Local residents named to state boards and commissions SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Gov. Phil Scott announced on Wednesday that he has appointed 98 Vermont residents, including several from this region, to state boards and commissions from March 1 through July 31. Boards and commissions serve an important role in state government, giving Vermont residents numerous opportunities to serve their state and communities, according to a press release from the governor's office. Locally, appointees include the following: Christian Craig of Weathersfield, appointed to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports; Lamont Barnett of Rockingham, appointed to Vermont Housing Finance Agency; and Jennifer Fribush of Springfield, Amy McMullen of Windsor, and Christine Latulippe of Northfield, all named to the Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators. The governor’s office is currently soliciting applications to fill vacancies and upcoming term expirations.
