Springfield Senior Center news

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, first the heat and now the rain. Before we know it fall will be in the air, and all our programs will be starting up next month. We have many activities and events planned for the coming months.

Are you interested in playing shuffleboard or cribbage this fall? Or maybe just being a sub? We could use more teams and subs for this upcoming season starting in September. Call the center for more details. Join our open shuffleboard Aug. 10 and open cribbage Aug. 3, at 1 p.m.

The hardwood floors will be done the weeks of Aug. 13 and Aug. 20. The VNA foot clinics (Aug. 7 and Aug. 21) have been cancelled for the month. I have been calling and rescheduling those of you who had them. The VNA nurse is out.

The Knit Wits will not meet on Aug. 16. Game Day will still take place on Aug. 8 and Aug. 22, along with Whist on Fridays. There will be no bingo during that time. Our next Nickel Bingo will be on Aug. 29.

Pool, pickle ball, ping pong, and gym walking are still taking place. For more information you can contact the center.
