Vendors invited to take part in Market Family Day

The Springfield Farmers Market is accepting applications from vendors interested in joining an expanded Market Family Day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. This invitation goes out to farmers as well as crafters and artisans; for nonprofits this would be an opportunity to promote an organization or educate the public as to what they do.

Applications and rules can be found at springfieldvtfarmersmarket.com/vendor-registration. All applications will be considered. Because space is limited, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications need to be in by Aug. 14, and can be sent toverdmontconst@vermontel.net or sent to the address on the back page of the application.

The fee for most vendors is $15, for youth $5, and nonprofits $10. The Town of Springfield requires a town vendors' license for $10, which is good until the end of May 2019.

The Market Family Day plans to have rides, games, face and rock painting and other activities for children and adults. All vendors are welcome to offer games and activities at their space. The Springfield Farmers market is located on lower Clinton St. on the grassy area next to NorTrax Equipment Co.
