The 55th Apple Blossom Cotillion is more than three months away, but the hard work for its young participants began on Sunday, January 2 at Riverside Gymnasium in Springfield and will continue every Sunday until the big night.

11 high school senior girls, their chosen escorts, and parents were joined by 25 elementary school couples and their parents to learn about this year’s Cotillion and begin rehearsals.

The theme of this year’s Cotillion is “Days Gone By” and will feature songs from past Cotillions.

The high school senior girls who will be competing for the title of Apple Blossom Queen are:

Nikka Bactad escorted by Nicholas Koch, Christine Clancy with Justin Derosier, Desmond Dana with Michael Muther, Alexis Esposito with Archie Farmer, Chelsea Howland with Robert Wheeler, Alexis Locke with Ryan Kehoe, Hannah Olmsted, with Alec Benoit, Alaina Page with Derek Otis, Alanna Parker with Benjamin Cox, Mariama Roldan with Aaron Wallace, Sarah Vredenburgh with Jordan Clapperton

Pam Church and Carrie Jewell return for their 8th year as directors of the Cotillion. Their production team includes Kyla Beardsley, Tammy Farmer, Nicole Snide, Anthony Knox, Tami Stagner, Suzy Coutermarsh, and Kim Kiniry. Larry Kraft will be the event’s master of ceremonies for the 11th consecutive year.

The Apple Blossom Cotillion is a project of Springfield Medical Care Systems. It will take place on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7. The proceeds from this popular evening of community entertainment fund the Dr. Sherb Lovell Health Career Award and support for community nutrition and healthy activity programs.
