North School Park Spring Clean Up

A free lunch is being offered to volunteers who pitch in and help to spruce up the recreation park in the village center of North Springfield this Saturday morning.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in the annual North School Recreation Park Spring Cleanup Day. The activity is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 23, 2011, weather permitting.

Volunteers, together with North School Preservation Society staff, will help clean up and prepare the park for the upcoming summer season. A free lunch will be provided for the volunteers at 12:30.

Please bring a rake, if you have one, and any other yard tools that might come in handy such as brush cutters. Whether you come for the full 3 hours or just a portion of of that time, your help and efforts will be much appreciated.

For more information, call Jean Willard at 886-2730 or Francine Provost at 886-1186.
