Civil War Living History in Springfield Vermont Windsor Vermont, this here event is part of the Springfield, Vermont 250th Celebration, that is taking place this year.
Two Union Soldiers
The History of the Civil War is the focus of this here event, which will be taking place on the Common today the 6th of August 2011. Folks are invited to come and attend to enjoy a mighty fun day. The Vermont Civil War Hemlocks reenactment group will be portraying Springfield's Blue Belly Company A Unit. They will be setup on the Common demonstrating life of a Blue Belly Civil War soldier.

Civil War Living History in Springfield Vermont Windsor Vermont, its said that folks should keep an eye out for Mr. Lincoln for he is to show up to visit the soldiers of Company A, you are able to visit this part of the Celebration between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. There will be a Civil War dance held at the Springfield VFW Post 771 Hall, which is located on VFW Drive in Springfield, Vermont. The dance is being held between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.If you would like to give VFW Post 771 a donation, they will be accepting them at the door.
Yankee Soliers getting Food
You'll be able to enjoy listening and dancing to the Camp Lincoln String Band as they entertain playing Civil War time period music. Dance instructors Terry and Jim Strien will be there to teach folks the dances from the Civil War time period. Everyone sure are mighty welcome to attend whether you are dressed in period clothing or not.
