Recent activity of the Springfield Police Department


David Allen, age 27, of Springfield was arrested Thursday afternoon January 26th and charged with Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order, Violation Conditions of Release and Stalking. The Defendant, Allen, violated court orders by placing himself at the Springfield Campus of the Community College of Vermont. Allen is charged with stalking as he has placed himself in various locations rencently to come in contact with the victim with no apparent need to be at these locations. The defendant was arrested at CCV Campus and transported to Windsor Superior Court for arraignment.

On the evening of January 25th, Steven Lapre, age 32, of Springfield was arrested and charged with felony count of Violation of Abuse Prevention Order and Violation of Conditions of Release by having contact with victims which is prohibited by both court orders. He was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Jana Hansen, Age 29, of Springfield was arrested & lodged on charges of Aggravated Domestic Assault and Cruelty to a Child under the age of 10 following an incident where upon it was reported that Ms. Hansen threw items, hit and attempted to stab the victim during an argument. Their 3 month old child was present and was being held by victim during part of the incident. Hansen was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 bail.

A 16 year old Springfield male was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana after he was found by the Principal and Vice Principal with marijuana on his person. He was cited to appear in Windsor Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Mirinda Waterman of Springfield was arrested for operating after suspension after Cpl. Norton recognized her driving by him. The suspension is CRIMNIAL due to Mirinda having 5 prior civil convictions for operating after suspension. She was cited and released to appear in court at a later date.
