Park Street School Committee formed

At the bequest of the Springfield School Board, 13 community members last night organized into a committee to explore the district’s best course of action regarding the Park Street Elementary School building.

At last night's School Board Meeting, Puggy Lamphere was elected chair of the Park Street School Building Committee with Bob Flint appointed as vice-chair. Larry Kraft was chosen to be secretary.

School Board chair Scott Adnams said no school board members would serve on the committee so all opinions and ideas can be independent from the board.

  2. Why form a committee? Close the friggin place down! We voted to have it shut down and sold, however they put new carpets in, heat the place and have a full time janitor on board all times.
