Cosmos walk off vs. Patriots

SPRINGFIELD — Jenna Paul’s single Sara Locke with the winning run, capping a two-run, seventh-inning rally that brought the Cosmos from a 1-0 deficit to their seventh victory of the season.
It was the fifth one-run victory for the Cosmos and the third time they won in their final at-bat.
Locke posted the win outdueling Jenna Crowley.
Locke allowed seven hits, struck out six and walked a batter, while Crowley scattered four hits with eight strikeouts and four walks.
MAU was led by Katie Goodell and Kailey Glanovsky, who stroked two hits apiece for the Patriots.
Jill Rushton drove in the tying run for Springfield, which improved to 7-2 and play MAU again in Bennington Wednesday.
