James Lyons, MD, Joins The Women's Health Center Posted on 5/4/2012 Springfield, VT - Springfield Medical Care Systems is pleased to announce the addition of James P. Lyons, Jr., MD, FACOG, to their medical staff. Dr. Lyons is an obstetrician/gynecologist, who is joining Daniel Marancenbaum, MD, and the rest of the women’s health team at The Women’s Health Center at 362 River Street in Springfield, VT. Dr. Lyons received his B.A. with Distinction, Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College. He obtained his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School, in Piscataway, NJ, and completed his OB/GYN residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, NY. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His work experience includes five years providing OB/GYN services at CHP/Kaiser Permanente in Latham, NY, and over 20 years OB/GYN private practice in Troy and Potsdam, NY. “I look forward to providing women’s health services to women of all ages, from adolescent to adult,” comments Dr. Lyons, “and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to join The Women’s Health Center and to be back in the Connecticut River Valley area.” The Women’s Health Center is a service of Springfield Medical Care Systems (SMCS), a not-for-profit, community-based health care system that includes nine community health centers. SMCS provides an integrated system of care that is patient-centered and emphasizes quality, access and affordability for all, with financial assistance available based on a sliding fee scale.
