'The Simpsons Movie' premiere 5th anniversary

Five years ago today Springfield Vermont briefly became the most famous small town in America as news media from around the world covered our big event. Here are 99 seconds of video taken outside the theater on that most uniquely special day.

  1. Oh my God stop living in the past! It was a novelty not a claim to fame. Let it go already and work on something more positive for the community.

It was pretty fun to mark the anniversary last night with a rap show in front of the movie theater... Lot's of people there too.
Those young whipper snappers were GREAT

    No pink Doughnuts though.

No gun play either!! Just perfect harmony ahhh...

I love it when a plan comes together !

    Springfield is awesome.

  7. Matt Groening stated back in April 2012 that the town Springfield in the Simpsons was based on Springfield, Oregon. I guess they have the claim to fame now.
